Greenbet Application

The Greenbet app is the mobile version of greenbet.gg for Android and iOS. It gives you the sportsbook, the casino, your account and the cashier on your phone.

Greenbet describes three core features of the app:

You install the Android app in three stages. Download the file, allow the install once and tap Install. The whole thing takes about two minutes.

APK File Download

Download the APK only from greenbet.gg. Greenbet distributes it exclusively there, which makes it easy to know you've got the real thing.

1. Open your phone's browser.
2. Go to greenbet.gg.
3. Find the mobile app page and tap Download.
4. Wait for the file to appear in Downloads.

Your browser might show a warning about the file type. Don't let it put you off. Android shows that message for every APK outside Google Play. Just check that the address bar says greenbet.gg.

Permission to Install Apps

Android blocks installs from outside Google Play by default. You give your browser permission once and you're good to go.

1. Open Settings.
2. Find "Install unknown apps".
3. Select the browser you used for the download.
4. Turn on "Allow from this source".

Every phone brand puts this setting in a different place. Sometimes it's under Security, sometimes under Apps. My favourite shortcut is the Settings search bar. Type "unknown apps" and it takes you right there.

The permission only applies to that one browser. When Greenbet is installed, you can switch it off again. The app keeps working.

APK Installation and First Launch

Open the APK, tap Install and launch Greenbet. In a few seconds you'll see the login screen.

1. Open Downloads or the download notification.
2. Tap the Greenbet file.
3. Tap Install.
4. Wait for "App installed".
5. Tap Open.

On the first launch, you can register or log in right away. Leave "Remember me" ticked on your own phone. Next time, the app opens straight into your account.

On iPhone and iPad, you add Greenbet to your home screen through Safari. There's no App Store and no download.

Here's why I like this setup: it's quick, it saves space and it's always up to date. The only thing you need is Safari and a stable connection while the page loads.

Add to Home Screen Through the Safari Share Menu

Open greenbet.gg in Safari, tap Share and choose "Add to Home Screen". Three taps and you're done.

1. Open greenbet.gg in Safari.
2. Wait until the page has fully loaded.
3. Tap the Share button. It's the square with an arrow pointing up.
4. Scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen".
5. Tap Add in the upper right corner.

After you tap Add, the Greenbet icon appears on your home screen. Open it and the site loads without the Safari address bar. That's how you know it worked.

You can register and sign in directly in the app. It uses the same forms as the website, and one account works everywhere.

The sign-in screen has four tabs:

On a phone, the By code tab is my favourite. You enter your number, tap "Send via SMS" and type in the code from the message. It arrives on the same device, so it takes seconds. It works with a verified number only. I see that as a plus for security.
